To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Poznań Boys’ Choir as a Municipal Cultural Institution and the 20th anniversary of Jacek Sykulski’s collaboration with the ensemble, a series of concerts will take place across Greater Poland. In the first instance, the choir will visit the Municipal and Community Cultural Center in Kłecko. The ensemble will present a repertoire divided into three segments:
“Pearls of Polish Sacred Music”
“Music from the Ghetto”
“Poznań Boys’ Choir Encore”
The Poznań Boys’ Choir’s presentation will commence with several works by our most prominent native composers, spanning from the Renaissance to contemporary times. The second element of the repertoire is an artistic tribute in honor of the 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The third and final segment of the jubilee presentation by the Poznań Boys’ Choir will consist of slightly lighter genre pieces, which appear during the last phase of each concert or are presented as encores. These comprise various arrangements of classical and popular music hits, with the primary aim of leaving the audience in the best possible spirits.
